Needs management overhaul esp in global technology.
Pros
Culture was great few years back but now it has changed a lot. Ethnic diversity exists with associates from all countries I think. Upper management is pretty good, they are strong, aggressive and moving forward. Work-life balance was good few years back now its all about work even some weekends.
Cons
--> Managers can be back stabbers. They wont let you grow in the company easily. If you get an opportunity internally to grow, good managers could pitch in good words but some managers go out of their way to give a bad review on yearly appraisal that have had drastic consequences. --> Too many IT contractors from TCS, Infosys and Cognizant from India. I bet they don't know the culture. Indian managers and directors have spoiled the culture that existed few years back --> Current CIO made a lot of false promises that he didn't keep up when he started with Staples few years back. --> Former CIO was great, Good managers/directors have quit couple years back with former CIO? --> Management has been always changing and revolving. Nothing is stable. --> Bonuses are not paid always with salaries. --> Benefits are mediocre -- not the best.
