Pros

Great co- workers and appreciative clients.

Cons

It’s all about the quota. They really couldn’t care less about the clients. It was difficult to continue to work there and have to come across so many road blocks when trying to genuinely help the clients. Staying at Step Up means that you eventually give up on trying to make a difference and mainly focus on working for a pay check and a bonus, which is highly promoted by management. Those in management are either highly lacking in expertise or are operating at bare minimum . A good place to get your hours but RUN once you have gained your hours.

Pros

The team I worked with kept me in the position for as long as I was there. The coworkers are amazing!

Cons

The agency is poorly managed. They “grew too quickly” so they are unable to reimburse the staff what they are owed. Several have gone 6+ months without getting their mileage checks reimbursed or getting reimbursed for items that were bought for clients out of pocket (that supervisors asked us to pay for out of pocket). There have been times where our company phones do not allow us to make or accept calls due to the company not paying their phone bill.

Poor Managment

Pros

Some staff were great to work with.

Cons

Management is extremely poor. There are limited people of color in management positions and no men of color, which is very unfortunate due to the population with whom they serve. This is not a supportive culture atmosphere. The focus is on numbers and not what is best for it's clients. The pay is below standard.
