Lots of great people to work with; benefits; pay ok

Cons

HR Department has no idea what other departments do. Slowly getting rid of most employees that have been with the firm for a long period of time. Employees that have had excellent reviews and dedicated a lot of time to make the firm what it is. Some say it's the new office they are building and there's not enough room so they have to downsize. Upper management changes every couple of years; new ones never have a full scope of what's going on anywhere else.

Biggest and "best" Firm in Portland but not best culture

Pros

Smart attorneys that care about their clients and community. Great benefits plan, headquarters support in regards to recruiting, benefits, payroll is outstanding.

Cons

Toxic culture, no investment in their staff, you agree or your out. New idea are not always valued. They say they value their people and innovation but processes are old and outdated. High turnover of executives results in lack of support for administration help across most departments so no bandwidth to be forwarding thinking. Little interaction between staff and lawyers. Not a friendly culture.

Cons

Multi-state firm not managed the same in each office, little to no opportunity for growth or promotion unless you have an "in" with a manager
