Pros

Co-workers, clinical supervisors, training , out reach, community based services so that you are away from executive leadership, mileage reimbursement, clients, electronic medical record system.

Cons

Executive leadership and Human Resources is horrible, to say the least. This company routinely tries to find avenues to deceive and hurt their employees. They are not honest in any of their practices as it relates to staff or other business practices. Clinical supervisors are not supported, respected or valued either. You will never receive a raise but will be expected to take on more responsibilities than your job description outlines or that you signed up for. This company tries to find ways to not pay you. Benefits are poor and expensive. They are constantly restructuring their organizational chart. You have to give 60 day notice if you decide to leave and if in that 60 days, if you miss any work for a doctors appointment or other, you will only be paid minimum wage for the remainder of your time and you will not receive any accrued pay owed to you. This company is "shady" to work for. You will find it hard to feel that you are working for a reputable company because you're not. HR and newly hired executive leadership considers all staff as under suspicion and don't trust them. They also now have snitches in place that reports all of your personal information to executives. They gossip and judge the staff. Their practices are not honest and they don't have any integrity. They do not value their employees especially Human Resources with works jointly and closely with the owner of the agency and executive leadership. Pay is low and sometimes pay roll forgets to pay you. You get paid once a month. When you submit your time off hours to payroll, they take out more hours from your accrued pay than what they should have and they don't give it back to you. It is frowned upon if you take any vacation time and when you do, you will be accused of taking too much time off although you haven't missed much or any work. Ancient ways of doing payroll and business practices. They do not invest anything into their staff. The harder you work for this company, it is never appreciated in any form and you will burn out fast. Executive leadership newly hired, is not a good choice for this agency as she does not know how to speak the "language". This company, instead of promoting in to executive leadership types of roles from within that knows what they are doing, hires inadequate outsiders that is going to eventually run this place out of business. They haven't raised their starting wages since the beginning of this division and insurance benefits get worse every year and more expensive. Run fast, this is not a place you want to work or list on your resume. Would rate "0" if I could for everything. This is not an environment that you will want to get excited to work other than working with clients and the community. Their competition is Compass Health, go work there.

Pros

Employee freedom when outside office is nice, company somehow maintains good relations with Case Managers.

Cons

You are required to use your own vehicle and they do not have their own insurance. Compensation is far under the standard for this kind of work. Overtime is forbidden. Unless you are the manager's favorite, you are treated like a money-making machine. Training is insufficient and manager is rarely present. Problems with other employees are never brought to the other employee's attention, but taken to management. Management then responds with disciplinary action regardless of the nature of the conflict or problem.

Pros

Excellent work experience for better patience, and humility. When moving to a different company, it looks great that you worked with DD participants. Can work many hours, or only a few hours if you would like. Some coworkers are generous and kind, and very thoughtful about their job.

Cons

Lazy workers, poor management, little training, little staff support from supervisors, poor documentation style, technology is very behind, etc. There are no electronic files for anything (including paystubs, hours worked), and it is lost very easily. Management turns a blind eye to things that are not an immediate problem, including harassment, racism, and mismanagement of money or food. Supervisors are either corrupt or overworked. Never helpful. They do not fire people for misconduct. They simply move them to a different house to work, so don't bother trying for justice.
