Pros

Friendly coworkers Good stepping stone for payroll career

Cons

I worked at SurePayroll for 2 and half years. There is absolutely very little training and then they throw you on the phones. This place does not care about their employees or their customers. We are trained to blame everything on the customer because our system is "self service". Before I left, they made a new policy that we could not reach out to the tax department for help unless we asked for permission from our lead which was very unlikely. This place is extremely stressful, very very little pay, and the turnover rate is extremely high. It's ahold stepping stone for a payroll career but very little long term opputunity.

Pros

Great starting pay for a call center ($17.25). Great benefits.

Cons

They tell you how great it is to work for SurePayroll yet they have a high turnover rate! Most of the reps have been in their positions for less than a year. During year end, there is NO work life balance. If you have children, expect to be away from them for at least 12 hours a day while working for this company. The managers, supervisors and team leads are not as friendly and flexible as they portray themselves to be. After two weeks of training you will be thrown onto the phones before you're ready. There's supposed to be help nearby (because of your inexperience) but your team leads will not be as helpful or present as you'd think. It's really disappointing. Your coworkers will be petty and will throw you under the bus. Be careful what you say and WHO you say it to. Don't make the mistake of thinking someone is your 'friend' after one friendly conversation.

Pros

Culture of the company is Amazing Casual Dress and relaxed comfortable environment Many employee focused perks - lunches, contests (monthly, quarterly, yearly) Health benefits and employee initiatives and perks are Incredible Training is great and ongoing if you desire to use it through there internal portal Executives are very approachable Great place to start a career and learn

Cons

Compensation is below average both in base and in commission potential Manager commission compensation is poor at best based on work involved for the job. Below 80% you get nothing and it is unfairly weighted in a negative way. (I had a rep finish at 69% of monthly quota and they earned more than me when my team finished at 92% for the month). Blackout time the entire months of Dec& Jan (no vacation or extended time off allowed at all) You manage a team comprised of mainly new reps due to growth and turnover, the teams are 13-15 reps per manager (too many based on attention needed to develop, mentor, and manage) . (work required vs the compensation potential is poor even when achieving 100% to goal. Career Path for Management is a long process for advancement CEO does not participate in Awards dinners, and sales related activities when invited
