Pros

Friends are really the only pros

Cons

I was a supervisor for the fios project. I was impressed with the advancement and assistance from other supervisors and then woke up a couple months later. I learned my job and tried my best to assist ahents. I found out quickly other supervisors did not care about helping agents and just told them to chat someone rather than taking time. We were give an impossible amount of paperwork to do every day and tons of meetings and we're told to spend our tine with agents, yeah that's a joke. I could not get support from my assistant call center managers either. There was bickering amongst the supervisors and agents. I saw on multiple occasions where one person got fired for a cell phone but someone who was a friend with a manager would never get in trouble. This same situation applied with attendance, dress code and pretty much any policy you could think of. If there were pay discrepancies or bereavement issues our hr person was to dumb to even wipe and couldn't get anything done. This whole place is a joke and is not related to fios i know this also happened on other projects as I knew some of the supervisors on them. Teleperformance is more telepathetic and recommend never working there. We all gave so much time to this place and when the time came for any of upper management caring there was not any caring to be found. Our call center manager was an idiot and didn't know how to handle anything and preached policy while giving breaks to people they liked. Again even if just wanting an intro job or need a job go somewhere else unless you like getting screwed over and over. Also scheduling even for school is a fight there and rediculous to get approved or entered in right by the corporate scheduling retards, even if you still have the email proving what it's supposed to be good luck getting it right.

Pros

Steady work, friendly management staff, and the pay is not bad. A lot of room for advancement, and a lot of choices on where to take yourself within the company (quality team, human resources, multiple operations positions, mission control, scheduling, the training department, etc., and all departments allow you to "climb the corporate ladder" if you do well). Bonus paid in addition to regular pay is based on your performance if you are a customer service representative, your team's performance if you are a supervisor, your account's performance if you are an ACCM (Assistant Contact Center Manager) or a CCM (Contact Center Manager). I am unsure of the bonus or pay structure of those in Director positions or other higher positions, but judging from what they're parking in the parking lot, they do pretty well.

Cons

The job can at times be pretty stressful, particularly in an operations position (customer service representative, supervisor, ACCM, CCM, etc). When systems go down, or when we are over-delivered on calls and understaffed, things can be hectic. In some situations people are expected to do the job of others in addition to their own job. For example, the supervisors may be asked to submit quality monitors (which is the job of the quality team), work on creating schedules (which they have an entire department dedicated to doing), assist with the training of representatives (which they have an entire department dedicated to doing).
