Pros
Decent health insurance if you have T1D and need access to affordable insulin, pump etc.. pricey copays for someone without complications however
Cons
Although for some it may be better than no job, several colleagues have broken down in tears and taken sick days from the working conditions and personal insults. An individual in management has helped create this environment as the new norm. Significantly less contributors, increasing number of ‘management’ who don’t contribute, but rather play telephone to report metrics upstream and have 0 technical understanding. Won’t mention the name, but Sr. Director Systems Integration Test. Favorite part is when these engineering managers sit in code reviews and complement how cool coding is..
