Pros

Collaborative and supportive team environment within smaller groups. Strong camaraderie among colleagues, can make day-to-day work enjoyable. Opportunities for learning and exposure to various aspects of a growing company.

Cons

Leadership, especially the CEO, lacks accountability, resulting in slow progress and poor decision-making. Significant leadership gaps lead to inconsistent execution across teams. The company is still not profitable after 17 years, which raises concerns about the sustainability of the business. Critical projects, like the payments rewrite, have taken years to complete, The executive team repeatedly makes poor hiring decisions and a disastrous acquisition that has cost both time and money. The CEO’s focus is on personal anecdotes and networking for her next role (e.g., interviews about her gap year) instead of driving the company’s performance and results.

Absolutely terrible, truly atrocious

Pros

Unlimited PTO, some good people

Cons

The company is just awful. The continually fail and then promote the leaders who failed. This is from the top down. It is obvious IKEA doesn't care if Taskrabbit ever does well or they would have fired Ania a long time ago. They have turned a once good platform into utter garbage (go check out their hundreds of complaints with the BBB). Very few Taskers can make a living on the platform anymore and many of the best have left because of the changes. That is creating a negative feedback loop. The culture seems great at first until the realization hits that only the favorites get promoted despite failing to meet their objectives. They then blame others who bear the brunt of the failure despite it not being their fault. Some of the people are turning straight evil trying to make things work and it is truly sad. Most people just don't really care and don't have to as long as they don't get blamed for anything. There is no career growth whatsoever even though they put on a really good show that they care and there are opportunities. Most people just make a few lateral moves before giving up.
