-The ROA team has been without a manager for over a year and has been relying on people who were not hired to be managers, were not trained to be managers, and who did not want to be managers -Everybody on the regulatory team is expected to do the work of two people, often working as late as 9pm, after starting as early as 7:30 or 8 am -When it was proposed that employees who worked late come in later or leave early the next day, the idea was shot down by a manager -when concerns about workload were brought to management, multiple people were told by the same manager that they needed to be flexible as this "is not a retail job" -the staff is grievously underpaid, especially for the amount of work being done -Poor communication, training, and an inability to communicate with clients effectively have resulted in documents arriving at 3pm, due for turnaround by the end of the day, which is simply unacceptable. -all of this contributes to high turnover, meaning that t any given point, only half the staff is fully trained. Even after half the ROA team notified management of their intent to resign, the client was not informed of the impact this would have on turnaround time for document processing. -Also, while this is actually more the fault of the government services TRI contracts with, technology required to do your job is frequently buggy, losing up to half a day at a time to technical issues.

Do yourself a favor and don't pretend you're going to reinvent the wheel at this place. The ratings for this company are what they are for a reason, and the negative reviews are incredibly accurate. If you want to beat the odds, play the lottery. Management has their "darlings," but if you're not one of them there's no hope for a positive experience. First and foremost, you will NOT get out of this company what you put into it. You'll learn new things at first, but will eventually hit a plateau because ultimately you're just a cog in the machine. The experience is highly templated and repetitive, and there's no room for freedom of thought. If you're good at your job, it's even worse. They'll heap a disproportionate amount of work on you with no benefits to go with it. You'll nevertheless be constantly reminded about the one thing out of 100 you did wrong versus the 99 you did right, which will occur both in group settings and when they inevitably try to low-ball you during your annual performance review. Promotions are few and far between, and often boil down to what part of the anatomy you're willing to pucker up for with management. If for whatever reason you do take a job here, the best course of action is to just be mediocre. Given the constant turnover due to the reasons mentioned above, they won't get rid of you as, more than anything, they simply need the bodies. It's a perfect set-up - job security, no expectations, half the workload of your foolishly competent colleagues, and no reprisals for your perpetual mistakes! It is what it is.
