Pros

Tend invests in career development for their employees, so there are a lot of opportunities to develop my non-clinical skills like leadership and management. Very strong onboarding program for clinical teams, which is rare in dentistry. I've worked in a few locations and the other team members are great. Fun vibe. Each practice is brand new and they get great technology that works well together like iTero scanners.

Cons

The patients (we call them members) can be challenging, but that's dentistry. Most of our members are really nice.

Pros

The company offers a great benefit package including 401k, health, and vision insurance. Also a parking/transportation stipend along with production bonuses are offered. Free CE courses. Great place to learn and grow as a hygienist. Coaching and training offered to hygienists on how to effectively communicate and educate patients and also provide the best care possible. Modern work space with up to date technology and equipment. For the most part great team work and everyone gets along well, but every office is different.

Cons

Can be very fast paced. Company has high expectations for team.

We also have highly skilled hygienists and Lead Hygienists, who support coaching and training our teams. Our hygienists, with support from the clinical and technology teams, keep us educated on the best technology and equipment to enhance our team member and member experience. A positive of multiple Tend studios in the same city is that you can work at one or multiple offices depending on your commute or team working preference. We are growing quickly and do have high expectations for our team, so we focus on communication, change management, training, and listening to feedback from our team members.
