Pros

- Executive leadership has made a very obvious investment in continuing to evolve and focus on culture and well-being at Tend. - Re-engagement in Mission, Vision, Values has been welcome and impactful but on top of that, a focus on hard skills and tools for operational excellence have been priortized.

Cons

- Need to keep breaking down silos. There is a clear eagerness to work with peers in other groups, but we need to keep re-evaluating existing processes that prevent smoother handoffs.

This organization has provided me with the platform to leverage my background in operations, while simultaneously pushing me to think on my feet and foster rapid collaboration across multiple departments. It has been fulfilling to have the chance to mentor numerous team members within the organization, witnessing their growth both as individual contributors and as leaders Tend prioritizes swift implementation of process and performance enhancements, yet they excel in actively seeking feedback to ensure that team members feel valued and heard. They are adept at pivoting when necessary to incorporate changes based on this feedback. On a personal level, I've consistently felt empowered to voice my thoughts within this organization, thanks to the numerous channels available for sharing opinions and providing input

Operating with agility is crucial for a growing organization. One aspect where Tend can improve is ensuring that the priorities we pursue yield the intended benefits. Recent strides in this direction have been positively received, notably through a more streamlined focus on a narrower set of priorities

We are extremely proud of our leaders who work hard each day to improve their teams’ days through commitment to process improvement and listening to feedback. We appreciate you highlighting that we have several feedback channels that are either direct to manager, peer, people support or indirect through anonymous surveys or platforms. We make sure to respond to feedback as well and explain the why behind our business decisions. We are a growing organization and we do make changes; some quickly and some after longer analysis. We know that having many priorities is needed and sometimes there is value in streamlining those priorities.
