Good company to work for but they were always worried about the bottom line not the people.

Pros

Lots of jet airplanes to work with, large market share. Good bonus program, Lots of engineer is putting in lots of hours making good products.

Cons

Company is very much about the bottom line, most engineers put in 45-50 hour per week. It was easy to work on a variety of programs but difficult to get promoted. It sure didn't used to be that way, but that's that is the new culture at Textron Aviation.

Great benefits. Overtime available when program is approved. Typical work days are no longer than 8 hours. 9/80 schedule available to some.

Cons

Wages seem below industry average. Typical with aviation, is the what seems like yearly layoffs. Often given "challenges" from management to complete schedules with limited manpower.
