Pros

If you want to get your pilot license and do not want to pay $8000+ to get it then Cessna may be right for you.

Cons

Promotion based on seniority, below average benefits and pay, very technical management with extremely poor leadership/human capital management skills, shareholders come first (Textron) then customers and finally employees.

Pros

The products that Cessna make is the top in the industry. Many talented people to gain valuable experience in all aspects. A good place to grow as a new graduate or for experience people. The culture is better than most aircraft manufactures. The employees are treated fairly. If you have an office job then your work life balance is better than you can hope for. Cessna is also a good place for non-ambitious individuals.

Cons

Cessna is now owned by Textron and there are some pros and cons. Majority of negativity towards Textron is due to the management and the direction Textron is heading toward. Cessna as its own entity is better off without Textron. If you are thinking about working for Cessna, be ready to be Textron Six Sigma certified which is a bad thing to me. Some people consider TSS a good thing but TSS is over used at Textron and now it is passing down to its subdivision ie. Cessna.

Pros

Good Job as long as you have a decent position. Office work is great, but working on the floor can be tedious and laboring. If you work hard then you will find place for improvement, but you have to have a boss that likes you and stand out of the crowd. Lots of room for competition in what you do. If you have a bachelors degree then you will be very well off.

Cons

Working on the floor. If you don't have a strong attitude for self improvement then you will stay there. Oh, and people that work on the floor can get pretty grumpy.
