Pros

If you like stress this is the place to work.

Cons

You will work yourself to the bone, for almost no tips. The majority of the people that come in to this restaurant are tourists who do not know how to tip.

We're so sorry this was your experience working with us. Our restaurants are extremely busy, and many of our servers make a living off of serving with us. In addition to the volume, we offer monetary incentives for referring friends to come work with us as well. We hope you were able to find some joy in working with us and that you'll reconsider working with us again in the future. Best of luck to you!

Pros

There are chains all over the country, so you have the flexibility to move anywhere and have a job. This company is also extremely busy, so it is more stable than many restaurant jobs.

Cons

The company does not care about its employees. You are just a number. They want you to do things a very specific way, and yet constantly sets you up for failure by not allowing you the supplies you need to perform well. Also, because the company's motto is the "upmost guest satisfaction," even though there are 200 things on the menu we are supposed to still allow the guest to create whatever meal they want. There are 200 things on the menu and the guest can't choose one? Then the kitchen gets mad at you for making their life complicated and yet you are just following the company motto. Ridiculous.

Thanks for the feedback. While we're happy you enjoy the flexibility and stability that we offer, we're really disheartened that you don't feel cared for as a member of our staff. The Cheesecake Factory started as a family business and is still run by the same founder to this day. One of his core values is treating our guests and our staff with respect and making sure that everyone has a great experience with us. The reason we allow guests to create their own dishes is because The Cheesecake Factory is supposed to be a place that everyone can enjoy. Our purpose is to create a wonderful guest experience for everyone, no matter what that entails. As for not having the right tools - that's definitely an issue. Are you familiar with cake talk? If not, log into the portal and use it. It's a forum where staff members can go and make suggestions to corporate. If you feel you don't have the tools necessary to do your job well, we need to hear about it and fix that immediately. We want you to feel set up for success so that our guests can get the experience they expect as well. I hope that your experience with us changes. If it doesn't, feel free to contact Staff Relations at corporate and discuss your concerns in greater detail.

Pros

Good for students as they do offer flexible scheduling Usually good tips The staff (NOT management) really make the job bareable, you become like family

Cons

The company and its standards is not anything close to what it used to be. Favoritism Frequent management changes Lack of support in upper management Long ticket times which effects the money you will make Does not adhere to their own standards Frequent sexual advancements from upper management Lack of mobility You are just another person on their employment roster of over 300+ employees, so you are easily replaceable and they frequently remind you of it

Thank you so much for leaving this review. While it was really difficult to read, it's important for us to hear these issues and take action accordingly. Our company has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy when it comes to sexual harassment. If this is something that occurred in your restaurant, we really would appreciate it if you called our Staff Relations department and discussed this in more detail. That's not the culture we've created, nor is it one we'll allow in ANY of our restaurants. You can reach us at 818-871-3000 and ask to be transferred to staff relations. I sincerely hope you'll reach out to us so we can investigate this matter further.
