Pros
If your sales numbers are good, can move up to assistant manager then to manager very quickly, sometimes within a year. Manager and asst manager were very supportive, good overall team environment, everyone wanted everyone else to succeed Company would respond to employee requests, such as changes in pay and dress code, seemed to care about employees Great benefits and company match 401k
Cons
Hours: minimum of 55 hours/week, with mandatory 9-6 on Saturdays and 10-6 on Sundays Required to perform other tasks besides selling, like cleaning the store and public bathrooms. Sales force is basically acting custodial staff. If you get stuck with a poor location, as I did in the Langhorne, PA store, some days you could count on two hands the number of customers that came in (and with 3 or 4 sales people on the floor, this did not bode well for sales) Often times, tiles would come in broken or the distribution center would mess up a shipment, which led to unhappy customers that the sales person had to deal with. Very high turnover rate
