There is nothing good about this company whatsoever.

Cons

This is the most messed up place ever. You will work 60 hours a week, with half that spent cleaning and scrubbing for no pay. Best place in the world to work for free, if you're into that. Managers steal your jobs, and it isn't about customer service, but only about a paycheck. If you're into screwing people and fighting for every penny, go for it.

Pros

In boom times of the year when people are remodeling, there is plenty of money to be made. The culture is a mixture of professional and casual, probably leaning more towards casual. It is retail, so hours can be worked around generally, but mostly during the week. Expect to work all weekend. You will want to for the sake of your wallet.

Cons

There is pretty much nowhere to go except be an assistant or store manager. This means even more hours and more stress as these managers are constantly scrutinized on their store performance. The pay for a sales consultant is on a draw structure, so if you do not pull the commission amount of your draw, it is owed back to the company. If you can sell it's generally not an issue, but that being said you can only sell to who comes into your store. Slow store, horrible payday.

Horrible pay, they lie to get you to work for them then they keep making promises to keep you hanging on. They never pay what they owe. Lot's of pressure to make sales but most of the products are a back ordered. When you do make a sale they don't pay you until the order is picked up and many orders cancel because the product never comes in or when it does it is damaged. Daily verbal abuse and high pressure to sell. 90% of the employees have drug and alcohol abuse problems, the company does have a drug policy but no one has ever been tested because they can't afford to fire the entire management including corporate. Promotion is not based on performance, heavy favoritism shown to white male homosexuals. Don't work for this company if you have an morals or ethics. Regional manager is an idiot and threatens daily to fire you if you don't meet quotas.
