      Not enough hours in the day for all of the cool ideas that surface!

      Pros

      The relaxed and flexible schedule enables you the freedom to take ownership of your projects. Very little micromanaging. Zappos definitely knows how to party which also builds many relationships outside of work. I feel like I work with a huge group of friends. Everyone is very passionate about what they do and with the new initiative downtown the sense of community with our city adds to the dynamics of the company. There is a lot of opportunity for growth.

      Cons

      There is a lot of restructuring withing of departments since my time here. Often not enough time is given for the team to prove valuable before its changed once again. New positions are created from within so there are constant growing pains. There is a little feeling of struggle when it comes to the forward movement of our creative. From a creative standpoint, all departments choose to work independently leaving our brand a little inconsistent.

      Pros

      Love them as a consumer. For online retail, it simply doesn't get any better. Smart and successful CEO/CFO.

      Cons

      Weird, cult-like culture. Too much effort put into "rah-rah" and not enough into genuine quality/care for employees. Hard-pressed to find anyone outside the call center much over 40. Another company that thinks they are out of the box but are so far inside the box they can't even seen the corners.
