Pros

-minority-owned ( the story behind the company is compelling) -outward success/profitability

Cons

- payroll- people are consistently not paid or underpaid every pay period - hr- the hr department should be called the IRRELEVANT department because they influence, support, and lead NOTHING and NO ONE. If you have a question or need help people would rather go to anyone else than hr because they have no real or accurate answers. They cannot even properly "track" PTO. - leadership- there is a small number of individuals in leadership positions that are actual leaders. The others are figureheads who take more pride in a title than the responsibility they have of shepherding people. - communication- there is none. The lack of transparency is incredible. I have not experienced it anyplace else. People hoard information so that they can have leverage or make themselves feel important. - compassion/kindness/decency- people are just not nice to one another. Having cake once a month for someone's birthday does not make me forget that I see you everyday in the office and you walk by me without speaking. - Overall morale is just terrible. You are not made to feel like you are a valuable contributor. There is no sense of collaboration. It is run like a dictatorship. They start initiatives but don't finish them or follow-up on things like an engagement survey. Opportunities are given to family members, friends, and yoga instructors. - There is simply no accountability here. No consequences for huge screw-ups, but the world is over if you dare express your opinion or challenge the status quo. Leaders throw one another or worse, their employees, under the bus to avoid taking ownership of anything.

Don't Be Fooled!

Pros

Absolutely none. Glassdoor is requiring me to write 5 words in this box.

Cons

Don't be fooled by ANY of the reviews posted as anonymous from the corporate office in Reston, VA! They are counter-stacking the deck and these are likely written by people coerced in the home office to combat all the other truthful reviews. These "smoke and mirror" reviews only goes to show how truly dishonest, misleading, and calculating their culture really is.

Not the Worst But Most Certainly Is Not The Best

Pros

Nice corporate office, snacks provided free for corporate staff, decent pay for some positions.

Cons

Constant hiring and firing, policies (if any) are established by each department instead of company wide and no training or mentoring of new employees provided. Those in management are not good communicators at all. I always felt like I was being tested rather than being groomed to succeed in the role I was hired for. The company is not technically saavy at all and still use paper for things that most other companies are doing electronically. Payroll and HR need major improvements. The company is not innovative and pretty much operates on auto pilot. The CEO was rarely around to I cannot honestly review him. He would often ask employees to submit their ideas to him and I do know of a few that he actually listened to and ended up giving the employees what the wanted.
