Pros

Working as a member of the support staff team allowed for excellent networking. Additionally, Thrasher proved to be invested in their employees' growth through their GROW program. They have a kitchen and chef on campus, and the installers are generally friendly people.

Cons

Work life at the HQ (Papillion) office was subpar at best. While there are ample amount of managers who care about their employees, there some questionable individuals in leadership positions that do not treat other people kindly. The term "support staff" is broad and covers the entire second floor regardless of department; however, the commonality each department shares is a lack of accountability for childish, rude, and discriminatory behaviors. If you're good at your job, any bullying behavior you exhibit will be overlooked. If you speak up, you will be made to feel small and childish. You will be gaslit into believing that you are taking things to heart, regardless of circumstance or context. Support staff are not subject to random drug testing, and the "water cooler" talk makes it evident that this process should be implemented. There were a few people I was uncomfortable being around based on conversations I had overheard straight from the horse's mouth. I was threatened with professional ruin when speaking up regarding several instances, and was horrified to essentially be told to put up with bad behavior because "we must collaborate professionally." While I agree with this sentiment, collaborating professionally does not mean tolerating bullies who believe themselves to be God's gift to this planet- or, at the very least, this organization. Overall, this work experience was stimulating and rewarding, but the "people" experience left me emotionally exhausted and extremely depressed. Thrasher preaches an amazing work culture that they joke about being "cult-ish," but they simply do not follow through with holding their people accountable regarding their treatment of others. I saw this in several departments and, since leaving Thrasher, have flourished professionally in ways I would never have been able to in the toxic environment that flourished within their cubicles.

Pros

Zero. No pros. If your in sales run

Cons

The entire set up is a clown show. Dependent leads that are BS, the job was listed at ‘existing customer sales’ base of $40k. (At contract it’s $16 an hour plus OT and commission). It’s an absolute joke.

Pros

Co workers all feel miserable together about this place, so that’s team bonding? Scheduling and ‘leads’ are done for you, however scheduling gets paid per volume of appointments made. So 80% of your leads are a complete waste of time. Examples of my own: basement needed new foundation, water in back yard, toilet flooded x4, wanted to lift home, trailer home wanted better insulation.

Cons

Ever wanted to know what a bad used car dealership feels like? Work here, it’s basically tricking home owners into doing work they don’t really need. If you sell only what the home owner really needs you can’t last. The ‘culture’ here is so toxic that they need to continue to tell you how great it is every Monday to try and keep you motivated for one more week. They sell you on the idea of making 150k/yr when it’s only possible by tricking clueless people they need work to be done that’s most often unnecessary.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. At Thrasher, we strive to create an environment where our team members feel supported. We recognize that turnover can be a challenge, and we're continually working to improve employee retention through ongoing training, development opportunities, and ensuring leadership is aligned with our values of integrity, teamwork, and respect. We’re also committed to providing clear communication on earning potential and the expectations that come with it. While some of the issues you mention in lead generation and scheduling are concerning, we have processes in place aimed at improving the quality of leads and customer engagement. We believe that homeowners should recieve a full inspection and diagnosis of their issues vs. getting a quote over the phone, therefore, we don't know what issues their home might present until we are there. Our job is to treat every customer equally and fairly in our scheduling process, knowing that each appointment is very different when we get there. We believe in offering homeowners solutions that address real concerns with their homes, and we take any feedback regarding our sales process very seriously. It's important to us that our team is aligned with our mission of providing real value to customers through honest recommendations. We’re committed to fostering an open, supportive work culture, and if you'd like to discuss your experience further or provide more detailed feedback, we'd love to hear from you. Please reach out to us directly at 402-819-2466.
