Pros
Since it is sales you are in control of your own salary and you have the opportunity to make a lot of money. You are not sitting behind a desk all day- instead you are interacting and helping dress the most successful men and women in your city. The product we sell is a good quality product that I feel confident selling my clients. You really feel like you are running your own business within a business. The company really cares about you and wants to build you as a person. You are an owner in the company early on and have a chance to build your net worth, Great incentives for working hard. There is also a lot of recognition for doing well and hitting your incentives. You don't feel as if you just a number.
Cons
One of the positives of this job is that you are in control of your own salary but it can also be a con since you are commission and if you don't hustle and sell you won't make money. The pay scale is the same no matter what city you are in so if you are in NYC or London and sell the same as someone in Kansas or somewhere the Midwest you are making the same even though the cost of living is substantially different. No reimbursement for business expenses (cabs, subways, gas, ect.). All business expenses are just considered a tax write off.
