      Good for a year then get out

      Pros

      Pay. Though it’s extremely variable even within the same team with little rhyme or reason. Flexibility if you’re not too overworked to be able to utilize or enjoy the flexibility.

      Cons

      Never ending changes depending on who the executive leadership team consists of that week. Departments are siloed, do not collaborate and have wildly different standards and cultures. Surprise firings/layoffs all of the time at every level of the org. Platform needs improvements to stay competitive (and functional). Do not really ever see them going to market.

      Pros

      The salary is average or above market, and some of the individual managers are great.

      Cons

      I’ve never worked at a company that had such a lack of cooperation between teams. The different areas of the company (engineering/customer support/Etc) don’t work well together. Management is an absolute mess and people are constantly being fired or leaving. Lots of gaslighting from management/HR and blaming employees for company issues. Corporate doesn’t believe in burnout and expects employees to work 60+ hour weeks and weekends.

      Pros

      Having previously been with a Fortune 500 company with absolutely zero culture, terrible pay, and horrible leadership — I have to assume the employees complaining in earlier reviews have only worked at Total Expert or only within the startup space. That is to say, this company is fantastic. There are a number of bad apples who weren’t ready or willing to see the company grow out of the startup phase and unfortunately, choose to bash the company anonymously instead of promote change from within. The attrition mentioned is truly in line with what nearly every single company is dealing with right now — and while many are leaving, they’re being replaced with new, positive, passionate people. It’s exciting to see! Joe is an extremely passionate and compassionate CEO. Chad is a President with great vision and incredible experience scaling companies. There is tremendous opportunity for Total Expert and the positive people who join in!

      Cons

      We are starting to see more people coming into the office more regularly (once or twice a week), which is exciting to see, but a number of people are still refusing to come in at all. Leadership has been incredible about flexibility, but it’s really hard for new people to meet others outside of their immediate team/department. Hoping more of those people decide to do what’s best for the culture and their fellow coworkers!
