Pros

Time off was earned at a fairly decent rate. My Employees made a bad job fun. Enjoyed seeing the little kids happy.

Cons

No support from upper management. Very little quality of life. There is no excuse for how many hours we worked during season. Never enough product to "Set the Ads" and customers acted like it was your fault. A dying comany that is taking it's staff down with it. Corporate continues to change it's direction too often.

Pros

Fairly flexible with your schedule (except around Christmas time,) many really great leaders to learn from, lots of great people working at the store level.

Cons

The company has taken to cutting every corner possible to avoid spending money. The stores are perpetually forced to run on a skeleton staff and then ridiculed by senior management when customer service is below expectations.

Pros

Trained in one store and worked at another. Training store was fabulous, reflective of the store manager. Customers were best part of job.

Cons

The store manager was completely ineffective. Other assistants did what they wanted with no communication to others; very little cooperation between assistants. Employees ruled the store due to H.R. manager's obsession with "be nice". This store took it to the extreme. I actually had an employee yell at me on the sales floor and nothing happened to her after I reported it. Other assistants that I trained with said that they experienced the same behaviour from employees in their stores. Favorites got away with everything and managers didn't know how to discipline employees; other good employees left because they were overlooked.
