      Was fun, not so much anymore

      Pros

      Flexible scheduling nine months of the year, generally a fun atmosphere you're around kids and toys all day, lots of authority in doing right by your customers.

      Cons

      Not enough payroll to properly run the store. Poor communication everywhere. Do your research on who you will be reporting to up 2-3 levels. Too much winging it due to lack of knowledge. Too many "made up rules" from store to store. Commitment to training is non-existing. Quality store managers are hard to find, I've seen only a couple in 8 years

      Used to be Amazing

      Pros

      I was promoted to a full time job within months of starting as a cashier. The people that I worked with were great and made it enjoyable when things changes.

      Cons

      The pay for what they expect is laughable. As a supervisor, I managed the store more than the store manager did and yet I was consistently the lowest paid supervisor in the store. For the area of work I was in (HR), I was grossly under compensated for having to constantly change direction, handle confidential information, and diffuse employee relation issues. Upper management had a new direction for the company every week. Nothing was consistent. There is no accountability throughout the company.
