Only worth it for the holidays
Pros
10% discount, overnight nets you a $1 differential. During "season" you can make slightly more due to the overnight pay, holiday pay and the occasional over time. The stocking positions are really easy and don't require a whole lot of training or prior knowledge.
Cons
Terrible management! I've assisted 2 other stores in the Los Angeles market and that seems to be the trend. Store direction and protocol is based on who is working at that time. Product is often left sitting in shopping carts and on "uboats" without being stocked on the floor or stockroom. Loss prevention is an afterthought. There was a former supervisor who was able to enter a store after hours and empty the safe nearly a week after being terminated. But the worst would probably be how they handle raises. In 2014 when minimum wage increased to $9 locally, the company moved all reviews up to the week before it increased, to insure they didn't have to pay people making below $9 prior to the raise an increased wage. The following year, they myself and several employees were told that they couldn't offer us more than 1% because, "The new manager hadn't worked with us for a full year (he had been there for 9 months at that time) and that they would try to get us a better raise next year" Funny part about that is that he has since been replaced, so we will probably hear the same story again next year come review time.
