Pros

It is a good place to work as a part-time job. Stocking shelves and cashier is what I do for the most part and it is enough for me as a high school student. Management is okay, I only know my store manager and other employees in my store but I only work part-time and I'm not really involved in other things with the company as a whole. Again, good place to work and gain responsibility. It is pretty easy going and flexible with hours, the training is good and I get plenty of work and responsibility in my job.

Cons

I don't really like the old stores, mine hasn't been updated like some of the others, so it is in a not so good area with bad lighting in the parking lot and it doesn't have the best reputation. It isnt exactly the coolest place to work but again for part-time it is okay. My manager isn't qualified and shouldn't be running the store but I listen to him anyway. A lot of other students that work here aren't motivated and they slack off and still get paid for gossiping with friends over the counter. Pay isn't too great either.

Pros

Well, I guess if you still like playing with toys then it could be a great place to work. Other than that, it's just a paycheck. Though fellow employees do make it a fun place to work.

Cons

It can quite boring. Unless you're given a project by a supervisor you're pretty much stuck just putting away all the reshops (whole carts of toys just waiting to be put back when customers don't want them). Either that or just wandering the aisles straightening and picking up toys off the floor left by some dumbasses who abuse the price checker like it's some kind of new and amazing technology they've never seen before and leave a pile of toys waist-high on the floor. Then, after you've spent 10-12 minutes clearing out the area, putting everything back and straightening the aisle customers managed to completely rearrange by sticking all manner of things in every nook and cranny, you go back 5 minutes later to see it was all for nothing as a whole new group of 'em are lining up by the same price checker and leaving whatever they don't want right there on the floor. They'll even look at you as they're doing it too, almost like they're trying to challenge you to say something so they can go off on you. Idiots... What's worse is when you have a psycho supervisor (who feels the only way to get people to do something is by yelling at them) coming up from behind wondering why you're not doing your job and picking up the crap that's on the floor, not knowing I had just spent 12 minutes of my life doing exactly that. After you're done explaining yourself, and having them still thinking you were slacking off, you take your lunch and come back and do it all over again until the end of your shift. Yay!

Pros

It gave me experience that I need to go to another company after a year. It was a great starter job for after college in the field of human resources

Cons

The hours. The shifts are not steady. The holidays are hard when you don't get enough sleep and little time to see family. The human resources position is difficult because you report to too many people. You directly report to the store manager but also you must report to the district human resources manager. Many times these managers have differing views.
