Pros

I was there for almost a year and up until the last few months it was amazing! I loved everyone I worked with and the way the company was ran. I actually loved going to my job every morning. The best reasons to work their are the discounts, knowledge (I now know almost everything I need to have a baby), customer service ( they really do care about customers), and all of the huddles/ communication. I never felt confused, I always had someone to ask for help. I felt very connected with the company and responsible if something wasn't done right or sales goals weren't met. I liked having the ability to make my own decisions and help customers the way I saw fit.

Cons

Turnover and low morale, along with crappy incentive packages. I don't have kids so the discount is really helpful for me. I would have liked a tuition pay package for working their for so long. Most everyone their was in college or wanted to go to school. Managers really tried to keep everyone happy, but their was so much drama with not enough hours and favoritism that it was hard to keep the morale level high. Managers are scared of DM visits because they don't do their job the rest of the time.

Pros

Its what you make it. Some managers will be worthless, but some are very good. Its about who you work with. People quit people, not companies.

Cons

Season, (Christmas), kiss your family goodbye in November. Pay a little low, performance is critisized constantly. If you cannot sell batteries, warrenties (BPP), open new credit card accounts, then do not bother, these are what will get you there, or out to the curb.

Pros

Had some great co-workers at the time, but this varies from location to location and year to year. Fun, management was stern but fair. There is a 10% discount, but this discount cannot be applied towards video game systems, some electronics, diapers, and baby formula. The discount is good for all other items and is a plus. The co-workers were very close knit, almost a family. Often spent time with them after work. This closeness and openness made work more tolerable and the environment healthier. I believe it also helped with sales by utilizing friendly competition.

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth. One very talented employee had been there nearly a decade without growth, another several decades without growth. There are no health benefits for part-time employees, and management would not hire full-time employees. Many part-time employees were working full-time hours without benefit or extra pay. The pay increase was not very much after nearly 2 years of working and always meeting and exceeding my numbers, making near minimum. Did not adjust hourly wage after minimum wage went up, so I essentially was given a raise to minimum wage 2 weeks before the change. Would not raise upon request.
