Pros

Work with terrific people, lots of responsibility early on in your career, fast paced environment, exciting product line, and Northern New Jersey corporate campus.

Cons

Company in transition, sales growth challenges, significant debt coming due, continuous expense control, many functions have been outsourced, and corporate culture not defined.

Pros

At times it was a very fun job. Helping people find that perfect gift for their child or helping that new mom figure out what stuff she needed for her baby. Coworkers were some of the best I'd ever had. Starting pay was pretty good for a retail position. I also loved some of the local outreach that the store was part of.

Cons

Management is terrible. They have supervisors that know less about policies and such than some of the hourly associates. Some managers have no idea how to run a store and continually run off good employees with unrealistic expectations. Promotions are pretty much a joke since you'll continue doing what you've been doing before most of the time. Employee discount is a joke (only 10%) since the prices of items are usually higher than they are in most other stores. Holiday schedules get insane. Even part-time employees may find themselves working 12-13 hour days. Days and associates can also be considered 'failures' if not enough extra services are sold.

Pros

The environment is always light as the targeted demographic is aimed at young children. You frequently see the faces beam as they receive new toys.

Cons

The aisles are almost always disheveled during the holidays and parents can get downright nasty when they aren't able to purchase what their child wants for Christmas due to limited stock.
