Pros

usually fun and fast paced work environment. During peak season you can expect up to 40 hours a week and over. Enjoyed working with most co-workers.

Cons

Lack of hours when not in peak season, Company as a whole seems to cut cost as many ways they can and feel they do not care or respect employees who work for them. Yearly evaluations and raises are a joke. expect cents!! If you get too many raises in a year due to promotion etc, they will reject your last one until you fight for it, and when you step down they will try to take away all your raises if you dont watch carefully.

Pros

If you're lucky and match the "corporate color" you will succeed in a very timely manner. Knowing you have control over getting a toy out to a very needy child or that special toy they desire is fulfilling.

Cons

They will promise you the world and waste your time in team meetings taking a good game of advancement, promotion of team spirit, team work, fun, etc, however they will use and abuse the heck out of you until you are burned out and then pass you over for promotions for a totally non-English speaking team member that's Brent here for 3 months. HR department simply does NOT communicate whatsoever. Constant turn over and they will make you see that you are replaceable and not needed despite your hard. Managers are too political and play favorites at the same time as having affairs with team members (second shift) and they'll use a point system to push you right out the door for the smallest things, whereas if you're on their "good list" you can take as many days as you like (no call/no show), low production, negative attitude etc...and believe me it's right in your face.

Pros

Some of the pros of working at Toys "R" Us include having tight-knit employee relationships, working in a fast paced environment, being paid above minimum wage, and always having something to do.

Cons

Some of the cons of working here is that it is often understaffed and as an employee you can easily be overwhelmed by all of your duties. Management expects independence from employees but that is often hard to do when help is needed.
