Pros

Pay seems to be a little above the average for managers that have been with the company for a long time.

Cons

The demands of the Christmas season is not counter balanced by an easier out of season work schedule. The payroll hours allowed does not reflect the workload placed on the hourly staff.

Pros

Overall Toysrus was a good company to work for most of the year. Upper management was fair in their assessment and promotion opportunities with only a few unrealistic expectations. Good balance of work and personal life most of the year.

Cons

From October to January you will live in your store. 6 to 7 days a week 12 hours or more a day this can be a hard time for a family man.

Pros

Schedule flexibility. Discounts. Vacation. Personal Time Off

Cons

Disconnect between corporate and stores. Poor communication which is sometimes generated by quick unrealistic business merchandising requests. Innappropriate language used by DM's during walks and visits. Regional Staff smell like corporate let downs.
