Promising, but they need help

Pros

As many other reviews have already spoken to, the industry is brand new and ripe for the taking. Tracelink is in the lead and they got there because of hard work and intelligent people.

Cons

Culture systemically seemed to degrade over time. Many people don't even say good morning and will simply just ignore each other. It's a tense environment where people don't tend to talk socially. I found some people in managerial roles aren't really suited to the position and merely got it because of their tenure. Tenure doesn't equate talent. Also, arrogance is an issue for a number of people. Overall, the place needs help to become what it's truly capable of. Working hard and having fun doing it are not mutually exclusive.

Pros

From what I hear, our product is actually quite helpful and solves a lot of real challenges in the industry. Office is okay, with free lunch and snacks. Competitive pay for my position.

Cons

Higherups are overbearing and controlling, and want to micromanage everything from your daily tasks to your in-office presence. They have a "hybrid" work policy in name only, requiring employees to be in the office M-F unless you get a manager's approval. To make matters worse, they basically rolled back a lot of employee-friendly WFH policies established during the pandemic because "they were unprecedented times" and management "didn't know what the future would look like". They try to hide behind the terribly inflexible office policy by saying its necessary for establishing a "culture". But everyone knows its just because the executives are dinosaurs from a different era who want butts in seats to justify the new office. I haven't worked at a tech company this rigid for 15+ years.

Pros

Tracelink is a big, long-term opportunity for those who put in the work and make themselves better. Lots of people have been promoted internally because they work hard. My manager is always asking for input and participation, and how he can help me. People are coached well, and given a lot of room to run their own deals and accounts. I learned more here about sales in two weeks than I did in a whole year at my previous company.

Cons

There have been a couple of people (trolls) who want to make everyone else around them miserable with their complaining. Theyre trying to drag others down to their level with dishonest negative reviews and make themselves feel better about quitting because they can't sell, are lazy, and/or entitled. We know who you are-it's kind of sad how pathetic you are. Thankfully you're no longer here or hopefully on your way out. Advice for you: Grow up. Other than that, the market my team is focused on is still developing--we have a good head start, but still a lot of work to do. Will be nice as things pick up speed with the law deadlines coming up and industry moving towards Tracelink. Con for some, opportunity for others.
