Retail "Direct" platform is unstable and goes down often, severely lacks innovation

The retail division aka "tradeweb direct" is the worst part of the firm.....The workforce here has undergone significant attrition so there's not much talent left......There is no direction from management and certainly no "leadership".....The technology here is ancient and terrible and no one knows how to fix anything or how anything is supposed to work. Platform has been down numerous times over the past year and it's getting worse. The folks who run the technology group here have no idea what they're doing. Haven't innovated in many years so the platforms are outdated and not comparable to the modern tech found in the rest of the market. Clients are extremely unhappy and are trying to leave, despite what management thinks they know about client satisfaction......This place is on its last leg and it's only a matter of time until they shut it down......I'm trying to leave asap but the environment is tough right now so I feel stuck here.

Every team at Tradeweb has the same goal of providing external and internal clients the best service while maintaining a supportive and inclusive culture. Tradeweb is constantly changing and innovation is one of the best things about the company. With change, innovation, and growth comes additional work and the leadership team and HR work closely together to make sure we have the right resources in place. We don't feel that most here share your views, and still hope you can come forward and talk to us directly about why you feel the way you do.

nepotism at its finest

managers don't care what you do

there are so many sons and daughters of long time employees working here. they are constantly being favorited and promoted..........this place is far too nepotistic. it's really discouraging being such a hard worker and continually get passed up for title promotions and pay increases in favor of these kids who are really sub-par and unimpressive. they are intellectually lacking and are often very hot tempered, but for some reason that behavior is rewarded. if you're in the close knit group of the company then you are taken care of, and if youre not then you're better off leaving and going elsewhere as the career trajectory here is really limited
