Pros

Fast paced hands on training for someone who truly desires experience in a clinical laboratory. Helping doctors save patients is the only thing that kept me going day to day.

Cons

Very poor management, poor communications company wide, toxic work environments, extremely short staffed and limited amount of people working very unreasonable amounts of hours making this job a hazard to ones self as well as to the patients' lives that are on the line. I have never worked another job that was nearly as bad for my overall well-being as Tricore was. These labs operate solely for making Tricore money, the aspect of true patient care is completely non-existent here. The patient is not the priority and this is reflected by how Tricore neglects their staff and ignores real problems, instructing employees to basically keep it afloat in whichever way possible with no tools for success.

Good opportunity

Pros

People are passionate about participating in the healthcare of the community. Lots of opportunity for entry level jobs, which is a great way to enter the healthcare industry. Lots of opportunity for career growth in the lab.

Cons

Upper management seems to make decisions without all the information or vetting it through those doing the actual work. Of course, this is not unique to Tricore.
