Pros

Base salary. Burton is a very convincing and sincere leader.

Cons

Company closed Chicago Gevity office...it should have stayed closed. Company ill-prepared to compete in market vs. BCBS of Illinois. Verticalization in a market like Chicago is sales career suicide. Office locations and work environment are a joke. If prospect doesn't fit ideal age demographic good luck with pricing...not even worth going back and presenting. Was promised carve-outs forever...never happened.

An HR Nightmare

Pros

The commute to work in the morning. A few good restaurants in close proximity where I could go and pray to God that a natural disaster would happen to prevent me from going back.

Cons

Leadership is a bully. This is an HR company? I've seen really good people leave time and time again because of 1 person and the company does absolutely nothing. I'm pretty sure there's been issues reported. How many red flags does a company need to see there's an issue? I felt horrible at the thought of going to work in the morning. There's no leadership only dictatorship. The office is ran by fear and bullying. Disgusting place to call work.

Pros

Nice offices that hide the truth. Be careful. They will suck you in.

Cons

Everything else... Micro mgt to the hilt..... If you want to cold call all day and not be trained on what you will sell jumt aboard. Very complex solution and they expect you to learn it quickly. workers comp, employee benefits, payroll and all the taxes as well as a suite of HR products. they will turn and burn you faster that you will ever realize. they don't truly value their employees. RUN, don't walk away.......

It sounds as if you were placed in a sales position you were not adequately prepared for. This should never happen. We would encourage you, in your next employment, to be forthcoming with your managers about your level of comfort in representing their products and services. As you know, it takes a great deal of familiarity to be confident in your sales approach. We likewise ask the same of our current sales personnel. We encourage them to ask questions, escalate problems to management, and learn to be fully engaged contributors. We regret that you did not feel that to be the case. We will bring your comments to the attention of sales management so that they may be aware. Thank you.
