Pros

Great 100% paid company benefits, great 401k match, bonuses and equity

Cons

I worked at Ultimate and then UKG for over 14-1/2 years. After the merger, it all seems to change pretty quickly. It was not a cohesive company and there was an us and them mentality. During the merger, my team killed ourselves to build 2 integration platforms to connect UltiPro and Kronos systems only to be told everyone in the company was getting a 2% annual increase companywide. But they would make it up to us the following year. You guessed it...it never happened. 3 years later, I was laid off because I was remote and my team was located in FL. For over 14 years, I was able to successfully do my job, but now I couldn't. They were effectively pushing out all the folks who had tenure and larger salaries to make themselves look profitable when they go public.

Pros

Benefits were great, but my understanding is they will not be soon.

Cons

Once upon a time I believed that I had FINALLY found the right house. I often joked “you’re gonna have to pry me from this place kicking and screaming”. Well I was one of the hundreds laid off in one fell swoop and while devastating in some aspects it honestly feels like a relief. This company has been insidious with its messaging to the public while making things gradually worse for the loyal, overworked, underpaid ukrewers that remain. It was a slow drip but as all things the truth comes out sooner or later. And anyone that says “if you don’t like it you can leave” like some of the reviews on this very page, are exhibiting the exact toxic approach to culture that legacy Ultimate and legacy Kronos would have never tolerated. My advice? Get out/steer clear.

Pros

Colleagues that want to do well Health Insurance 401k Match Mac Laptop if you want

Cons

From the start, the recruiters are an absolute nightmare to work with. They do not even spend 5 minutes reviewing your resume, they have no idea if your skill sets are a match. They take a very long time to respond, they are sales people who couldn't cut it and lucked out with a company who's benefits at one time made the company attractive. Quite frankly the recruiters are a waste of time. The leadership structure starting with those in Lead positions on the ground up to Managers and Directors is an absolute mess. My experience has proven that the leaders were lower level employees who stayed for a long time and got promoted because someone liked them without any real leadership traits or skills. Hugo needs to go. He has shown he is a control freak that comes from a background of being a consultant creating problems and then running in a circle trying to solve the same problems he created. He recently laid off several hard working good employees who were here for multiple years and is FORCING everyone back into the office. The disguise right now is a hybrid model of 2-3x a week (even if your team does not sit in your local office) with the eventual direction of FORCING everyone back FULL time. They will try to sell you on the benefits but do your due diligence. Talented employees should take off with all of the remote opportunities (if you value remote work) and not waste your talent with management who just wants to micro manage and feel in control.
