From good, to bad, to worse.

Pros

US Anesthesia Partners has a relative good benefits package, including medical, dental and vision that start on day one, 401k, and reasonable PTO. However, PTO no longer rolls over from year to year, and you cannot cash it out when you leave.

Cons

The management of this company has gotten worse the bigger the company has gotten. Many mid-level managers and directors are so busy trying to take advantage of a growing company to climb the corporate ladder, that they no longer care about the staff that actually keep the company going.

So here what’s happening in Anesthesia world. USAP buying all Small practices which is highly illegal. They set up low prices for physicians to join . Since there are no competition anesthesiologists settle for less . They drain you hard and all the money goes to the CEOs and partners. They make millions while new associates make nothings while they work hard. Even big moguls like Verizon sprint have limitations on their mergers for Fear of monopoly and unfairness to customers not in anesthesia world USAP is everywhere. They lobby with the ABA wnd ASA tomoritectvtheir interest and their financial franchise to get bigger and bigger think of it as Macdonalds of Anesthesia pay their associatess minima wages and as minimal Wages worker you can’t get a job elsewhere as McDonalds only fast food chain in region.

office staff (the little people)

Pros

Great training department. Some really great folks. Latest technology. Great IT folks...I got a paycheck.

Cons

Our company was bought out and it was "ok" at first....the "incentive bonus" they promised us never "materialized" ..not sure what happened to it or if it even existed. USAP is all about quantity (number numbers numbers) and to heck with "quality" or sending it out the door correctly. They no longer allow you to carry PDO to the next year....but it is very hard to get time off approved so you lose it at the end of every year. Your health (and mental well being) will go downhill with all of the demands/workload placed on you. The morale is terrible for most folks I know. I read the "reviews" that others left on here and was skeptical....looking back I wish I had maybe listened to them. Folks....run...run....run far away from USAP......unless you have no personal life/family and want to live at the office. I have had very ill family members and was told...."no it is month end and you can't take time off....." That was the final straw for me. Family comes before the J.O.B.
