Pros

The pay is good and the training is phenomenal. The facility is one of the largest that I've ever seen. Great gyms.

Cons

The culture is very military centric but without rank structure. There was very little time for relaxation in between phone calls because everything was micromanaged down to the second. Security guards could be more friendlier

Pros

You get paid to show up there.

Cons

Many many moons ago, USAA was a honest, respectable employer. This company violates labor and state statutes. USAA is a greedy, massive insurance giant who will treat you like an employee number and nothing else. This place is a preverbial turnstyle for hiring and firing. Do your research, they are countless ex employee claims for wrongful termination. If you talk to a person who has been there for any length of time, they will tell you that they are the only one from their training class. You will be required to get to work early to start up your computer, log on to your phone and you won't be compensated for this time. If you show up to work right when your shift starts you will be considered late. Agents are non-commisioned, but they will ride you constantly if you aren't selling enough and even if you are selling enough. They pressure you into trying to sell other products and services to every customer that calls in under the guise of their mission. If someone calls in to have their insurance ID cards sent to them they want you to try and sell them life insurance and or an investment product. USAA is one of the largest anti gun lobbyist in the nation and defies the Florida State Statute 790., firearm parking lot law. If it is found that you have a firearm on their property they will fire you, no questions asked. They don't provide an armed escort to and from work either. The fact is USAA does not care about the saftey of their employees, they see firearms as a liability and they don't want to get sued. If you are desperate then all means apply at USAA, if not, then don't work there. You'll be unhappy and you will have your rights deliberetly violated each and every day.
