Pros

They do pay well and you get lots of vacation

Cons

If you don’t follow their rules, you won’t last long. Everything about Usaa is ancient. It is a male dominated company that puts a few minorities in positions of “power” only to hide the reality of what is really going on. When I began to challenge the way things were done, practices that were incorrect, I was told that I was in no place of authority or education to do so, even though I was hired to do so. (2 masters from Boston college) I advise you to walk the halls and consider how important environment is to you. You are trapped in a compound that takes at least 15 min to exit, so stepping out for a quick drs appt won’t happen easily. Unless you bring lunch you are hurdled into 4 cafeterias, with food that is less than healthy. I was in a management position and was asked to observe and report anyone not glued to their monitors. If you were found to be taking a moment to go for a walk or take a call you were spoken to. It’s just unhealthy. I left as soon as I could.

Pros

The only pros I can think of is the benefits, generous PTO, schedule flexibility(when it’s available) schedule change bidding.

Cons

Back to back calls, it will exhaust you. Management has a lot of number you need to hit. It’s all about numbers and not servicing the membership. This company has lost touch with what it wa based on. Beware of this company it seems like it’s great until they get youbjb there and feed the koolaid. It’s true what the other reviewers are saying. And anyone that rates it good is not on the phone with annoying members that think you owe them something because we are for the military. All of these people are brainwashed seriously. Pay is below the industry average and a bonus that is getting lower each year. No opportunity for advancement and of there is be prepared to work the worst schedule available.
