Pros

You'll learn how to sell Health insurance at the most inconvenient way.

Cons

100% Comission (Average 14 to 15% of the policy you sold will be comission) If you sell a $4,000 policy you are looking at $550 comission AS AN ADVANCEMENT Your taking a loan against the company I had sales stolen from me Call center Leads are from random source not legit Employees stealing leads ftom each other If you sell a policy and uou take it as an advance you are taking a loan out not getting paid You have to pay that money back You have to buy everything No benefits Out of 2000 calls I made a sale expect the same You'll book appointments but they will fall through or get decline. If you have bills to pay this is not a job fot you. Because you have to take a loan out every sale. There is no other legit compensation When you make a sale 4 other people above you get a cut. Other employees have expressed this company is a pyramid scheme.

Pros

The money is good however you have a huge overhead of expenses. The dialer systems is awful, you are basically cold calling people all day in hopes for someone to answer the phone so you can sale a policy. You call leads that are several months old that have been blown up hundreds of times. The only people making money are the people who got grandfather in to the company who are managers and have a team underneath them. You will always see new faces here, most people that I started with quit within a few week / months, once they realize the truth about working for US Health Advisors.

Cons

You have to pay for the dialer, leads, parking, states, licenses. In leads you have to spend anywhere from 500 - 1000 weekly to try to make a sale, the money is not guaranteed. You also get a lot of cancelations which hit your reserve and once you quit you have to pay back the company whatever money they advanced you on. In the beginning, you have to write deals under you manager and you only get a portion of the deal. You have to be ready to work 70 - 80 hours a week 6 - 7 days a week if you want to survive in this place.

Thank you for your comments...as we believe that every comment...good or bad...can help us build a better company. We appreciate the fact that you don't like the nature of the work. Sales...of any product or service...is hard. There are many who try their hand a this opportunity and decide it's not for them. There are many others who try...and find that this is the golden opportunity they have been waiting for. We believe our role is to make the opportunity available to all...and then let them decide if it's right for them. We understand that you don't like some of the expenses you've incurred or the number of hours you put in. That said, I don't really know how you can be in business for yourself...without investing time...effort and money...into your business. Like most entrepreneurial endeavors...the seeds must be sowed...before the harvest can be reaped. On a final note...regarding the "guy who runs the show"...and assuming you are referring to the CEO...all I can say is this: I've been here since the beginning...and I haven't seen him take a day off...yet. In any event...we appreciate the time you spent with us and we wish much success for your future.

Pros

If you have a solid network you can make very good money, but the company provides minimal training or support until you prove yourself.

Cons

Leads are terrible, competition in the marketplace makes cold calling or even warm calling of leads a waste of time. The company's internal strategy is to hire 20 people for every one they expect to survive past 13 weeks. Until you do you are completely expendable and are expected to pay for everything on your own including your licensing, marketing, gas, tolls and more. For 19 of 20 applicants it is an expensive waste of two months of their life that could be spent finding a job that suits their talents.

Thank you for your comments. While we appreciate your advice on our company's recruiting practices we must also balance it against our own experience, which literally spans decades. In truth, our most talented and most successful people never really imagined themselves working in our industry. Only after coming aboard with us, did they discover their unique talents and more importantly, the "Heart of a Champion" they didn't even know they had. Sadly, it is impossible to test an applicant for the unique qualities that will make them successful in our business. For that reason, we choose to provide a career opportunity that allows each applicant to determine their level of effort and ultimately, their level of success.
