Pros

Never had a opportunity to find out. Health insurer that does not understand health problems of agents, hmmm.

Cons

I joined up to work with this company and because of health, I was unable to start working for a full 7 months, which in that time I was also getting licensed. I was fortunate to get married in that time period, and I was going to bring my wife on board. I am writing this to inform others that a few things need to be clarified before you start. Initially I was told I could sell other products, P&C, etc., and the I was my own boss. I was also told that I would get at least a 100 leads a day to call on. Well guess what, neither was true. When I did in fact start to work full-time, and I was about to give notice to my other work, I was getting 3 leads a day, not a hundred as promised. Well when I told my Manager this he said get licensed in 5 other states, which I did, but in the process my wife became very ill, and I told my Manager that I would need 2 weeks to attend to her health, and please put things on hold for 2 weeks and I will get licensed in 5 others as she is recovering, well I did just that, I nursed her to health and licensed in the other states. Well I was given a termination letter, not exactly sure why, but to top it off, I was never once asked how my wife was doing. That is my experience. I did contact upper management about this, and I never received a response. My advice is, go in with your eyes open.

Thank you for your comments. Selling other products (ie: P&C, etc.) does not fit within our captive sales opportunity at USHEALTH Advisors. The captive nature of the USHEALTH Advisors sales opportunity is clearly addressed in the USHA Agent Agreement and other documentation that would have been signed during the agent contracting process. I understand that you may not like this answer, I am simply explaining the facts. Regarding your comments regarding leads, I was not a part of the conversation you reference, therefore I cannot speak to any discussion that may have taken place regarding lead quantities...I can only speak to our company policy regarding leads, which is again, addressed in the USHA Agent Agreement. I understand your wife's illness would take time away from this opportunity and It is my sincere hope that your wife has made a full recovery. As you can imagine, it would be very difficult for the corporate office to be aware of such instances, therefore we have no other visibility beyond our normal reporting processes to determine whether an agent is engaged in the business or not. Letters such as the one you received are a normal part of our business processes and are triggered by inactivity of the agent. Without a clear line of sight regarding the cause of inactivity (in your case, the health of your wife) it is difficult to step in and alter the processes. If you wish to discuss your concerns further, I am available via email at bill.shelton@ushadvisors.com or by telephone at 817-878-3823. In the meantime, please accept my very best wishes for a successful future.

Pros

Have worked in the Health Insurance industry 10 years ago. Much different today. Checked out virtually every company in Arizona. US Health Advisers was by far the best, really not even close. Fantastic work environment, they actually care about their customers. Management has been with same company for 23 years. Integrity means everything to me, this company has it in spades.

Cons

None! funny reading reviews of a former employee that does not want to actually work hard for his money. He needs a salary, meaning he is lazy.

Pros

Work on your own time (rarely) That’s about it

Cons

If you’re a single parent or someone is depending on you, I would not recommend this job. The job posting I saw made it seem like it would be an hourly based job with “paid training”. The paid training is only possible when you get a transfer. But how are you suppose to get a transfer when you get leads who have been called over 100 times and don’t want anything to do with you? They made it seems like you’d make so much money in the first few months. You lose over $300 going into this company and leave with nothing but a health license. They’re also terrible with their sales. They sometimes jack up the prices to make their pay check look good. It’s not worth it
