Pros

UniFirst is a large corporation yet has the roots of a family run business. There is always opportunity to move up in within the company and because it is North America wide, it can take you to new cities if desired. Rigorous training upon hire sets any sales person up for success within the company, and helps build desired assets from other companies. The base pay is great and the commission (which is over and above) can be lucrative. The company also offers full benefits! If you work hard, you are able to earn a company paid tropical vacation, and throughout the year you can be selected to attend all expense paid work seminars within the company's head quarters. The work environment is a positive one and the president of the company is very involved and truly cares about his employees. We are able to work independently because the company puts in the trust and confidence in their employees to get the job done.

Cons

The administration work really slows down the progress of sales. This specific position is not for everyone, it can be challenging and competitive. A lot of work days you are "on your own", which means you don't really work with your team on a day to day basis. The route sales reps can sometimes be overloaded.
