Pros

Nice office and location Compensation is okayish Interesting stack Flexible hours

Cons

No career progression if you don't know the "right people" Lack of documentation practices Understaffed teams and tons of managers. Unity used to be a flat organization Mid-managers do not add any value just playing politics Lots of experienced staff left, and it is hard to get information about some legacy systems No time for learning or skills development Most projects are poorly managed as a result of re-organization/cancelation every half of the year Compensation becomes less competitive Management constantly lying, trust issues

Pros

Good benefits - great healthcare system, a lot of vacation days, offices are really nice, and a lot of great events. Salary-wise - not bad, but I've seen some better positions. The overall staff is friendly and nice. All teams are very inclusive and diverse.

Cons

Executives are sometimes looking at employees as their marionettes because it's easy for them to just decide and fire a lot of people. Overall lack of a bigger vision, since there are a lot of new projects coming in very often, but no focus to fix actual outstanding problems. The feedback system is a bit problematic. It's tricky with salaries too, since they won't give you more than the set amount, even if you think you deserve more and you looked around at what is the average salary for your role.

Pros

Competitive salary for Vilnius, usually on the higher end for a similar experience (if counting stock bonus) Great work-life balance. No crunches, very flexible schedule, no work in free time, no issues with booking personal time (both vacation and just breaks) Friendly work environment Certain freedom in the choice of projects Decent amount of time dedicated for secondary projects/hack weeks etc. Good career growth

Cons

Base salary is lower than the competition and the stock bonus has its own limitations (have to wait for a year till the first payment, you receive stock and not cash, complex tax process) Issues with higher management Rumors of hybrid remote work. At the time of writing this, it's fully remote with free access to the office for anyone who wants, but higher management has been insisting on having some form of a mandatory visit to the office in hybrid mode. It's still not fully decided and look for newer reviews for update
