There are many good people who work for this company but they are confined by unreasonable processes mandated by Unity Point upper management.

Cons

They do not care about the quality of care to the patient. They are continually focused on how to make more money, cut corners, and demand more and more employees. The managers are gossipy and do not have integrity. There is company-wide pressure to be fakely pro-company when almost everyone hates working there. Also the pay is dismal.

Co-worker was actual manager. Manager didn't want to do the work. Not transparent. Over-time during training. Job description didn't match myriad duties. Bullying atmosphere at times.

It is a good place to work engineer. We had a new manager last year and some good experience with him and learned something new. team members are supportive of each other and work with clients and directors closely.

Cons

Not very friendly working environment and not a good PTO policy.

HR does not actually take action against bad employees. Security director is out of touch with his team. Security Leadership is terrible. People are leaving a a high rate because management within Security department is incompetent.

If you worked in a good department, you could have a fulfilling career and the opportunity to learn a great deal. The pay is decent, and the benefits are good. Compared to some places, their health insurance benefits and 401(k) offered is great! But finding a good department can be a challenge. If you are lucky, you will probably have an amazing manager and supportive colleagues.

Cons

Working in the right department is key to the experience. If you work in a good department, it will make all the difference. Unfortunately, there a departments where it won't matter if you love what you do. Having a manager that is engaged and proactive, as well as supportive coworkers is crucial to your ability to work effectively. These two components are often lacking in these departments. Worse, you will experience apathetic behavior, rampant gossiping, and little accountability for bad behavior.
