Pros

-Most of the doctors and sonographers are pleasant to work with. -Get one day/week remote

Cons

-The Fetal Concerns RN team is extremely difficult to work with. They are Inflexible, overbearing, and expect you to prioritize the role over your personal life. They are constantly pushing off work onto the less senior members of the team. It is their way or the highway, which makes sense considering they cannot keep this position filled because they push people out who don’t agree with them. -Management will say they support you when you are one on one with them and then immediately go behind your back to tell other people your concerns -There is NO flexibility with hours. Even if you want to drop to a 0.9 FTE it is not allowed. -You are REQUIRED to use your own personal PTO to “pay yourself” for holidays. Makes it impossible to build up any time off unless you’ve worked at Meriter for years prior. -Parking for new employees is inconvenient. You either have to take a shuttle every day that adds an additional 20 min to your commute or park on the street and move your car every 2 hours to avoid a $40 parking ticket. Ramp parking only available to “senior” members. -Extremely toxic environment in the Center for Perinatal Care. People are constantly leaving because they are being bullied.

Improvements ahead

Pros

The company is taking steps to make positive changes. Many separate committees of different staffing levels to communicate things needed and next steps to implement those changes.

Cons

Company asks employees ideas for retaining staff, but doesn't follow it. More benefits have been taken away rather than staying or implementing what staff requests for. PTO is also extremely hard to use. We can build it up but then get denied or have to find our own coverage to get a day off. Many staff in radiology are doing so much overtime and getting burnt out then denied PTO.

Pros

good benefits, decent pay, PTO builds up at a moderate speed.

Cons

PTO is for holidays which you are forced to use - even if you are not allowed to work - our positions are being dissolved, and we were all told HR would help us find new positions... yet it's been almost a month since we heard the news and still haven't been reached out to about anything...
