Pros
Freedom from cubicle life. You're out on the road. Set your own appointments a d be free from coworkers, water cooler talk and office life. Great pay. Even with a 2 year degree, with bonuses and a lot of hustle, $100k is possible. At a price to your personal life.
Cons
Micromanagers everywhere. Nearly constant "Where are you going? Where have you been? How many enrollments did you get? Have many do you plan to get? Hitting up area high schools to ask them to allow you to talk to their students and getting a door slammed in your face (if they open it at all). It's a hustle. 6.5 days a week, day and night during school year. Chasing teens around to get them to agree to an appointment. Numbers and goals are a daily hustle. If you are a salesman, don't mind could calling AND can work with teens, this is great. Personally, I wasn't prepared for the constant hustle. CONSTANT. If you aren't in a school, or in a students home, they want you to be working on getting into a home or school. Hustle hustle bustle. A lot more sales atmosphere than I realized.
