Pros

- Great company that is on the rise - Everyone loves our product and customer service. - Amazing co-workers. Many of us are workaholics. - Our engineers and designers are cool and truly nice people. - We don't waste our money on fancy stuff, as management is looking long term. - Senior management is smart and has a great long-term vision for our enterprise services.

Cons

- Nepotism. Sometimes it feels like a family business. At UserTesting, it certainly doesn't hurt to be old friends with the executives or related to them. - Like most tech companies, UserTesting lacks diversity, especially in management. 6 in 7 executives are white men. - Non-engineers are paid on the low-end, particularly our UX Research Team. - Could be better communication between Sales, Product, and Client-facing teams. The company is taking strides to work on this as a whole. - Like most tech companies, need more engineers. Hoping we can bring on more engineers to keep up with the huge demand for our web & mobile user research platform. - Our offices are cramped, and we're all spread out in different offices within a complex.

Pros

Fun people who like to organize activities and make the day-to-day quite fun and enjoyable. Great way to get a foot in the door into industry, especially for college grads. Fast paced and up-beat environment. Sales are great and bonuses are seen often.

Cons

Lack of vision for overall company in the UX field. Usertesting is very reactive to what customers need, they are interested in providing answers to their clients and being a means to an end. This isn't research in the true sense. and it's limiting for employees who want to do more. The compensation is inadequate for the job duties and location. Combine this with inexperienced managers who aren't able to utilize their talent, make the work load inconsistent, and pass their stress to their employees.

Pros

Top to bottom, this is an absolutely fantastic company to work for. It's really impressive how great a job the management team has done of finding people who fit the culture and blend well with the current employees. More than anything else, the folks at UserTesting do a great job of empowering you to play to your strengths. I've worked at companies where middle managers try to force processes on people and stifle creativity. At UserTesting, if you have a good idea that can help the company grow, everyone around you will do what they can to help you make it happen.

Cons

I think as the company starts to grow more rapidly, it will be important to figure out ways to retain many of the talented people who are helping to grow it.
