We also recognize how important it is for Associates to see clear paths for growth. VCA offers one of the largest ongoing education programs in the industry, supported by mentorship that connects experts across our network, along with tools like Woof University and leadership development programs. Associates also have access to continuing education support, resources like VETgirl, and professional memberships such as NAVTA, helping them build skills and explore new career paths. We continue to invest in learning and development at every level so Associates can grow and build meaningful, long‑term careers.

Caring for those who care for our pets is a top priority for VCA. We're glad to hear you enjoyed our free access to mental health services, including 12-free therapy sessions a year. Thank you for your feedback as we continue to look for new ways to support Associates with work-life balance.

Pros

-Doctors were the best and really cared about the patients. -You learn a lot with the doctors and most techs who are very willing to teach.

Cons

-Management was the worst. Didn’t care about its employees unless you were a favorite. -HR seems to be close with management so don’t even bother trying to explain any issues with them. They won’t even give a time of day to listen to you since they already speak with management and don’t care to get your side of the story with any issues. -Toxic environment at times -No room for advancement unless you’re the practice manager’s favorite. -Pay/raises with corporate is not great

VCA is committed to developing leaders and driving accountability for behaviors that don't support our values. We are continuing to invest in leadership development to ensure these behaviors are not tolerated. Thank you for sharing your response and we're happy to hear you were supported and mentored by doctors and techs. We have flagged this for further review.
