VIPKid's hiring practices entail hiring as many teachers as possible, all the time, with no concern for demand for classes. This means it has been increasingly difficult for teachers to fill their schedules. Now, VIPKid has announced they are changing their pay scales for all teachers, which will result in a significant decrease in income for almost all of us.

A new pay structure is starting August 1, resulting in a large pay cut. No opportunity for base pay raises anymore. No cash incentives anymore. VIPkid does not value their teachers. We do not feel appreciated. In disputes with parents they almost always side with the parent. The hours are early. You are penalized for canceling classes, even when you are sick, both monetarily and through less bookings. Bookings are not plentiful like they used to be. It can be extremely difficult to build a following of students to give you a full schedule.
