Pros

They way they hook the teachers into applying

Cons

They are a scam company. I bet all the positive reviews are from their workers. They use teachers and don't give hours. Don't waste your time.

VIPKID is a student-teacher matching platform, so it is up to students and parents to choose teachers based on teachers' profiles and past teaching performance with VIPKID students. It takes about a month to build a good student base and we do have teachers that complete many hours of teaching a week, so, as a newcomer to the platform, give yourself some time to get more students.

Quantity over Quality

Pros

- working from home - choosing my own hours - investing in children's lives - establishing relationships with families across the world

Cons

- pay cut - valuing amount of classes over the quality of classes - no incentives for those who have stayed loyal or who keep a 5.0 feedback average

Pros

Kids are delightful and I loved working with them.

Cons

New "Pay Structure" after three years of loyalty and excellent parent feedback. Demoralizing.
