As a recent, 20-year employee I continue my career at VITAS Healthcare because of the great support by my supervisor including encouragement to grow as a hospice professional VITAS is an organization who wants to hear from their employees and continues to implement processes and applications to streamline assisting patients and families as well as updating benefits. My career at VITAS Healthcare has been in the Care Connection Center. During the two decades of service I have had the opportunity to work in many roles all of service which I am proud to have had the opportunity and felt made a difference. The VITAS Values are an important part of making a difference. I am proud to say I work at VITAS Healthcare. Working in the CCC is fast paced but comes with great reward knowing the impact you have had with a patient or family member directly or indirectly. Great Tuition Reimbursement benefit - I continue to be thankful for the ability to continue my education and earn my BSN in the last few years the VITAS Tuition Reimbursement benefit. A bit of strategic planning on my part assisted me in completing the BSN program and financially intact. I have also had first-hand experience with a family members on hospice service with VITAS with the great care our organization provides to not only patients but their families too. As the Mgr. of Quality Assurance in the Care Connection Center we indirectly improve the caller experience by feedback share to our agents and their supervisors routinely. I am proud to work for an organization that can pause one process and fill it with a similar one to continue to provide meaningful feedback to employees. Having been employed by VITAS for the past five years, i find that while work is work, this role is truly rewarding. I take pride in knowing that the work I do makes a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families. The company is stable, leadership is present and there are clear opportunities for growth. I love my team and enjoy collaborating with the people I work alongside. I feel empowered to do what's right for our people and I am confident that my efforts make a real difference.
