On the inside, it's a mad house. They have no idea how to grow. There is almost no communication from management. Forget your craft... the real skill you need to be a success at VSA is telepathy. If you're unable to read the minds of the managers whom you never talk to, you won't be able to see a project to success. This culture of disorganization is amplified in their satellite offices and client labs. In the moments passing each other in the hallway and prior to meetings, the expansion into New York is quietly referred to as a "cluster____" by management. Publicly they describe their expansion as "experimenting" and when their projects fail, be prepared to go down with it. Right now VSA has a decent reputation in the industry, but that is quickly changing. If you're looking to get a good agency on your resume, you're better off holding out for the next opportunity. If you pride yourself on producing good work, and your're trying to step FORWARD in your career not BACKWARD, avoid VSA Partners. It will ultimately be a waste of time and energy.
